to its merger with the ICFP, to form the FPA.
The Financial
Planning Association (FPA) is a professional association, not a Membership
Organization, for those in the financial planning community. The FPA
believes that everyone needs objective advice to make informed financial
decisions and when seeking the advice of a financial planner, the planner
should be a CFP® Certificant.
Paul,
though a CFP® Certificant, has elected not to remain a Member of the FPA,
and is instead a Lifetime Member of the International Association of

AHIA, a conference of NAIFA (formerly NALU), was formed in September 1990
to secure NAIFA as the advocate voice of agents in the health insurance
area. AHIA provides legislative, educational, and public relations support
to agents who sell and service health insurance and employee benefit
plans. Active members consist of individuals who are engaged in sales or
field management positions for health insurance. To service their needs,
AHIA implements a variety of programs in communications, legislation,
meetings and education.
